What with this idiotic new trend here using the term "old white guys" as if it has some negative connotation?

I love old people, period...no matter what race. Even the 20 or so kinda old white guys and gals I'll be hangin wit 2nite at a party.

And yup, we'll all be complaining about paying too much taxes! Even the ones making over $250k!

"Old white guys" is no more or less negative than "Old black guys".....

I agree, but old white guys sums of the Republican party. The expression, maybe for you, is positive, as in, "I love the Republican Party because it's run by a bunch of old people; I don't care what race or religion they are." For me, the expression means "narrow-minded, conformist men."

Not only is it a negative connotation, it's a racial stereotype (so I am guilty of a rule violation in another thread). To me, it's interesting how quickly you reacted to this. Imagine how people who are sensitive to those of other races must feel about some of the posts in this forum.

Just caught a clip of Bill Maher on the Eastwood routine... "sort of a metaphor for the Republican party... an old man yelling at something that doesn't exist."

Red Foxx once said on one of his programs "there ain't nothing uglier than an old white women" and all of the "white ass kissers thought that was hilarious" hee hee.
Many of them had mothers that were "old white women"

The real irony in it all is that the very people who use the term "old White guys" to stereotype in a negative way, are the alleged champions of tolerance, acceptance, and open mindedness. ahahahahahaha.... Everyone who isn't one of those people, knows exactly who it is I'm talking about.

I agree it's wrong to use that expression, and glad to see you have a PC side when it comes to an issue of race. But, stereotyping in my view is not only wrong; it is against the rules of the forum. From now on, instead of "old white guys" I'll use "intolerant, narrow-minded people stuck in the past."
