I’ve written about or linked to a great deal here “chronicling Mitt’s mendacity” — to borrow Steven Benen’s phrase.

Mitt Romney says many, many things that are not true. He says this despite being in possession of the correct facts of the matter.

Which is to say that Mitt Romney lies. A lot. He lies more than any other national candidate for office in my lifetime. And I was born before the Nixon administration.

Maybe he interpreted my comment as an observation of the thread topic (Mitt)?

The reality is my comment was targeted at all the cheerleaders on this site.

But I won't attempt to speak for Darryl. He has that right.

Actually it's a great tactic. if you lie and keep lying and tell enough lies the media does not have the time to focus on one or two. So many of the lies just get talked over by other lies ... Mitt is on the top of the game right now. The obama people don't know which angle to attack him with ...

It's kind of like the Obama hope and change theme ... he said it so many times people just accepted it. Nobody ever took the time to figure out what the hope and change would exactly be.

Real World

I got as far as this.

1. Romney campaigning in Iowa on Sunday: “[W]hen the president went around at the beginning of his term and apologized for America around the world, it made us just heartsick.”

He’s lying; the president never apologized for America. Romney knows this, but he keeps making the claim anyway.


Thankfully I didn't waste much time after that.
