Default OT: RIP Neil Armstrong

Not necessarily political, but read that he passed away today at the age of 82.

Him and all the first three waves of Astronauts (Mercury, Gemini and Apollo) showed us and the world that nothing is impossible.

Team Gets things Done FTW

Salute to you sir.

I remember that like it was yesterday for some reason - I was fascinated by it.

When it happened, my father tried to capture it on the 16 milimeter camera.. do not think it came out though, for some reason we did not understand that it would be replayed over and over.

Unfortunately, even this, becomes political..

As we remember Neil Armstrong, let's not forget that Obama changed part of @NASA's mission to do "Muslim outreach." #Really #WhatTheBleep

Hard to believe. Neil Armstrong dead. But let's hope Muslims feel good about their contributions to math and science.

I hope @BarackObama is reading the coverage of Neil Armstrong's death. He'd learn a bit about modesty and quiet strength

I don't think GOP pundits realize that when they always spin news to make it political, it turns off independents who find it childish, ridiculous, and silly.

Agreed. Flutie. Politics infects enough of life as it is. No need to add it where it is freely and happily absent.

# 6 on my top ten list of Greatest Americans.

RIP to a true hero.

The word "hero" has been so diluted lately that I think we should come up with a new word for guys like Armstrong.

One of the most telling statements about the space program, and the exploration of space came from Armstrong. A man who seldom did interviews, and never spoke much about landing on the moon.

Neil Armstrong, RCH - Truth protective layers - YouTube

Speaking at the white house, and talking about future generations of scientists...he said in tears...

"Breakthroughs are available to those who can remove one of truth's protective layers"

RIP

Apparently Armstrong is the greatest soldier who ever lived. I wish he expanded on what he meant in a will, or a written statement.
