As first ladies go I think she's been a fine a first lady and through it all she maintains her #1 focus as being mom - no small task in this cut throat political world. I don't really see why anyone would hate her. not like her politics is one thing but there's nothing to hate there. She would probably make a great Senator or Congress woman one day if she so chose. I especially like how she dresses down Barack whenever given the chance.

She is a typical first lady. She has a cause (obesity) and makes appearances like every first lady before her. Still can't work out why the right hates here so much

Save the sanctimony for when a conservative calls Michelle Obama, angry black woman, a "murderer" like Laura Bush was called by some on the left.

I agree completely, she presents herself well and is very intelligent.. she also protects her daughters from most of the political brou ha ha everyone makes mistakes, this whole thread is preposterous as why do you tell your consituents the wrong date..

Bet you if you got the unedited copy, she corrected herself and had a good laugh as did the audience.
