Time will tell. Big rallies are indeed expensive, but as the article says "there's plenty of time for big rallies." We'll see what happens. Clearly, the enthusiasm for Obama is not what it was in 2008, but there's still a lot of enthusiasm for him. As far as Mitt goes, the enthusiasm is against Obama, not particularly for Mitt. Also, Obama has held large rallies in May, with 14,000 in an Ohio rally and 8,000 in a Virginia one. But, if you're willing to use rally sizes as a measure of support, I am too. I have no doubt that Obama will attract more people to rallies that Rmoney.
