Canada slashes corporate tax rate to 16.5%

And Obamagube wants to raise them in the US. Take a guess what buisness may do. Move. Who's left to tax?

Canada also does not spend over 6 trillion dollars a year on military expenditures... they spend something like 20 Billion..

Guess their priorities are different, with socialized medicine and all..

Two things:

1) Faulty premise. Canada did not just lower their corporate tax rate. They lowered it in January, 2011 - almost 2 years ago.

But I'll play along......how much good has it done them? How much has their GDP risen? How has their economy grown in the last 20 months? Has their unemployment rate risen or fallen?

Canada also has very strict gun control laws on handguns, assault weapons and ammunition.. no sure if it is connnected, but:

US incarcerates 743 people per 100,000 residents... to put another way US has 5% of the population, but 25% of all prisoners..

Canada incarcerates 131 peope per 100,000 residents..

Prison systems are incredibly expensive...

Great point. And its good ****** thing we do because all these other countries don't.
Most countries in Europe are flat broke with their freebe societies and they spend very little on their own self defense because they look to Big Daddy to protect them.
If we spent as little as the European countries and Canada did on a military you'd see 1938 all over again before you saw 2038.
Thats just a plain fact.

Darryl - Do you have a breakdown of the 743/100K number?

I'm curious what the composition looks like...ie we have laws that imprison people here that they don't in Canada, or don't to the levels we do (yes Im looking at non violent drug offenders).
