I hope Harry can handle this scintillating bombastic news when he wakens.

Roseanne Barr will be on the ballot for President of the United States in at least one state.

She was nominated Saturday night by the Peace and Freedom Party, the party announced Sunday on its website.

Barr’s running mate is Cindy Sheehan, who gained notoriety in 2005 when she camped outside President George W. Bush’s Texas home to protest the war in Iraq.

“Because I believe it’s the only way to peace and planetary disarmament, I am a convert to, and now an evangelical, for socialist revolution,” Sheehan wrote Sunday on her blog. “I have witnessed, before my eyes, the transformation of societies from illiterate, disempowered peasantry to educated and empowered vital members of society."

The party is on the ballot in California only. The party’s immediate task is to get Barr on the ballot in other states.

Some of their platform is on their website ... some of their issues are great ideas that we will never see. One thing about these lesser parties is they tend to show how tied in to the establishment the democrats and republicans are. When compared to them ... these lesser parties show how similar and what little differences we usually choose from when voting Dem or Rep.

I saw some platitudes + a lot of socailist drivel disconnected fromreality.

Rosie Barr is a great representative of the deep thinking involved here.
