We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
The $$$ was gotten years before Romney showed up Olympics are planned many years in advance.

Falsetown called, they want to talk to YOU.
Romney wasn't just the head of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee. Romney was also a registered lobbyist for the organization, Utah state records show.
Romney last worked as a lobbyist on Dec. 31, 2000, according to a spokesman for the state lieutenant governor, who oversees the registry.
As a lobbyist and president of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee, Romney didn't just stabilize the balance sheet. He brought in a record $1.3 billion in federal dollars for Salt Lake City's games and more from Utah. In 1996, the Atlanta Summer Olympics cost U.S. taxpayers $609 million. The Salt Lake Tribune wrote in March 2000: "If charming state lawmakers were an Olympic event, Mitt Romney would be draped in a flag about now, singing the national anthem."
Point is he left Bain in 1999 when the Olympics were in trouble and it ended up with 100M profit.
Spin away.

He not only built it (with a biiiiig tax-dollar assist,) he did it while still outsourcing jobs as the CEO and sole shareholder of Bain Capital.
But he'd rather be an expert on the Olympics than outsourcing... and now that he's an expert on the Olympics, he's busying himself telling the Brits they're not doing it right.
If people ever start paying attention to this guy, holy crap.

You must not read the articles you cite....according to YOUR source, they budgeted a profit of $56 million...to buffer for legistlation they never had to use. I don't understand how this is a shocking profit, or anykind of 'vicory' considering the fac that this was done with billions in federal money.
Its shocking to nobody that you willingly glance over the 1.7 BILLION in taxpayer dollars he used to turn a $100 million profit. (56 of which was already budgeted)
again....my breasts could've done the exact same things...
seriously.
