Concealed gun owner shoots own buttocks and wounds children at Dallas Walmart | The Raw Story

A licensed concealed handgun owner from Waco, Texas hurt more than his pride on Monday when his weapon accidentally discharged while he was reaching for his wallet at a Dallas Walmart store.

Police said that Todd Canady, 23, was in the checkout line when he fired the pistol he was carrying inside his pants.

“The bullet struck Canady in the buttock, then ricochet on the floor and broke into pieces,” KDFW reported. Two children and a woman were also wounded when they were struck by bullet fragments.

Shame on these children for being around a Walmart!

(Slightly OT: is it possible to say 'buttock' wothout doing it in a Forrest Gump accent?)

That sounds like something I would do, thats why I gave up my license and my SW a few years ago, my wife was afraid I would get drunk and shoot her when she came home from shopping

We had a guy in Maine a while back that shot his wife in the face with a shotgun, he told the cops he thought she was a Racoon, she must of been a homely bastard if she looked like a f-cking racoon.

If I were "in charge" that dummy would have his gun license revoked and made to sell his gun(s). No second chances for dumbasses like that.

In TX like CO, no license needed. 21 for a handgun, 18 for a rifle or shotgun. You do need one for concealed, though.

This guy clearly would have taken out Holmes if he had been in the audience in Aurora...
