Default Rodney King Dead at 47

Rodney King RIP. A name synonymous with riots and police brutality. Probably not a great citizen, but did not deserve his beating.

Rodney King, motorist whose beating by Los Angeles police officers sparked deadly US race riots, dead at 47 - U.S. News

Rodney King is about as worthy of a thread topic as John Smith of Akron, Ohio.

I was outraged when I saw that first videos of that incident. Then, about a month later I saw the complete video and was not as outraged. It was still excessive but my outrage turned more towards the media that appeared to just want to incite the public.

Of course the resulting 55 deaths during the riots were more than justified...

I Googled John Smith of Akron, Ohio. Came up with 25 listings, none that I recognized.

R King had a lot of drug problems over the years, his GF said he was drinking and smoking weed all day, not a good thing when you are 47.
