Another totally misleading title from the King of Misleading Titles.
Charles Barron is not "headed for congress." He got one endorsement from one politician (retiring Congressman Ed Towns) - everyone else (Rep. Jerrold Nadler, former Mayor Ed Koch, state Assemblyman Dov Hikind and City Councilman David Greenfield, Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz and Councilman Mike Nelson) has roundly condemned him and thrown their support behind his opponent.
“Charles Barron's support of dictators and terrorists such as [Khadafy] and support for delegitimizing Israel and comparing Israelis to Nazis is dangerous and abhorrent rhetoric that makes him unfit to serve in Congress," Nadler said.
At the presser -- which also included Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz and Councilman Mike Nelson -- Koch urged voters not to be taken in by Barron's charisma.
“One thing about Charles Barron is, he can be very charming, but so can a snake," Koch said in a statement. "We have learned to live together in this city despite our different backgrounds, and his vile, vicious assailing of Israel is simply not acceptable. I can tell you this without hesitation because I know him."
Nadler and others said Jeffries was the rational choice in the Democratic primary.
All expressed dismay that retiring Congressman Ed Towns chose to throw his support behind Barron, rather than Jeffries. Though few in the crowd thought Barron would win, they said they didn't want to risk silence in what could be a low-turnout Democratic primary on June 26.
He was endorsed by the retiring congressman in the district, he will most likely win, black voters in Brooklyn don't care what jewish pols want.
"Some guys play in all-star games, some guys don't. I don't know who picks all those all-star teams. In all honesty, I don't know who picks the combine, for that matter," Belichick said. "How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
Why this time? He hasn't won anything else he's run for......
The article refers to him as a "New York City councilman." So I guess he has actually won something in the past, yanno? And if we look, we can find he has been re-elected twice, yanno? Considering many of the same voters in that election would be partaking in this election, it's silly to say he's never won anything else when he's already won 3 elections in that district.

According to your beloved wikipedia, when he ran for congress he ran against a 24 year incumbent for the party nomination and lost. But now that same incumbent is retiring and has endorsed him.
So maybe you should have looked a little bit harder before telling us all you can't see anything different this year compared to that prior attempt.
