You make my point quite well, when the right does this stuff it is called "vetting" when the left does it is called "pathetic liberal lies".. we will see, this is a very big story.
Speaks to the games that favorite sons play, Daddy while governor, gets Willard a state police uniform and a cherry top so he can stop cars with girls in them and do whatever????? What an image for a potential president.

Come on Darryl ... the choom wagon was a better image for a potential president? Seriously ... unless someone has a criminal record after Clinton, Bush and Obama i kind of think their youth is off the table now ... voters have said that much at the polls. Even their early 20's the voters are now showing not to care much.
Heck we just elected a President who was as green as green could be. People are voting for the party and for the moment now - I am not even sure vetting will ever be the same as far as useful anymore.
As to the story ... yeah it's creepy ... I will give you that. I kind of think Romney is creepy, he seems different and out of touch. I am not sure if he would improve over Obama. At least Obama has a 4 year learning curve edge which is attractive to a voter.

What about the image of an admitted drug abuser? Obama, by his own admission, did an awful lot of drugs in college, and not exactly just pot. He was very much into the hard stuff as well.
Funny how your sanctimony disappears when that is brought up.

I don't know about the "very much into, " but I'll say this for Obama over Romney - at least he seems to remember the things he did wrong and own up to them.

Which would you say is a bigger character flaw? Playing a practical joke on friends, or being a drug addict?

1. "Experimenting" with drugs in high school and college is not "being a drug addict." If it were, then from what most people have admitted to here, we're all drug addicts.
2. Impersonating a police officer is, depending on how you do it, a felony at worst or at best, a misdemeanor offense.
If you want Romney's youthful indiscretions to be just that, youthful indiscretions, then you can not claim that Obama's are anything but the same.

I'm cool with that, are you?
Good points MrsP. I think we should look at these things with the proper perspective and leave unrelated rape, robbery and drug criminals out of the equation. They are not valid reflections of the candidates.

The liberals are, in their typical dishonest fashion, trying to make it sound like Romney regularly suited up in a police uniform and patrolled the streets of San Francisco, pulling over and harassing completely innocent motorists. What actually happened was it was nothing beyond a stupid college prank he and some friends pulled on a couple other friends.
But hey if I was an Obama supporter I'd much rather talk about college pranks than things like, you know, the economy.
where is Romney's birth certificate arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
