57 states say hi.
I see you couldn't bring yourself to answer my question.
Obama does fine speaking extemporaneously, as evidenced by innumerable debates, press conferences, town halls, the Baltimore retreat, etc.
He's actually not a great public speaker -- too professorial -- and never really has been. He is, though, immensely charismatic.
You can keep pretending he's a dunce if it makes you feel better (a bit rich from someone who struggles with basic communication), but someone who graduates magna cum laude, edits the Harvard Law Review, and goes on to teach at U of Chicago Law is probably not slow. You'll notice even the conservatives at those institutions speak very highly of him.
I dug this, myself:
Quote:
"When they debate, Barack will smoke Romney," - Sidney Barthwell, Romney's classmate at Cranbrook and Obama's at Harvard Law.

Your too much Jack, good thing I wasn't drinking I would have ruined by keyboard.
How do we even exist in the shadow of his brilliance...

If his grades were good he would have publicized them, of course as the head of the law review and as a 'professor' he never wrote anything...odd to say the least.

Yes that's absolutely right. For proof of this you need look no further than boston.com, the internet site of the Boston Globe.
Right now at this moment if you go there you won't find a word about the President who insulted millions of people in a country which is both a good friend and strategic ally. But the #2 story over there says "Romney misspells America on app" - which, of course, is a total lie unless you believe Romney himself did the programming for the app. The same story also currently enjoys a headline at ABCnews.com, but at least they were honest enough to call it a "Romney campaign typo." However, I can't find a headline over there about the President's "Polish Death Camps" gaffe.
Let me restate that just to be clear, and I wish I was making this up but I am not:
Someone at the Romney campaign hired a programmer to create an app, that programmer made a typographical error, and the #2 headline at boston.com claims "Romney misspells America on app." But you can't find a single word over there talking about how the President himself personally insulted and offended a dear ally of our.

I find this stuff to be stupid sometimes. Overblown at least. This is what happens when the PC dogooder mentality becomes embedded into the fabric of our once sensible society. Had he simply said "Nazi death camps in Poland" he'd have been fine. Do I get why the Pols would be upset? Sure I do. Mea culpa and foghetaboutit. It is what it is I guess.

Yes, I expect he will.
So where are those college transcripts I wonder. I always remember how stooooopid GW was, and how smaht John Kerry was supposed to be. Ends up Kerry was slightly more of a boob than Bush was. Whoood'a thunk it...

I rest my case.
I'm shocked I tell ya, just shocked.
Joe Biden makes a gaffe (like telling a guy in a wheelchair to stand up) and he's "crazy old joe". Sarah Palin makes a gaffe and she's a moron. George Bush says something stupid and he's a chimp. Barack Obama says something stupid and he's magna cum laude. Gee, I wonder if those same people will say the same when Mitt Varmint, I mean Romney, makes one of his many gaffes.

OT: pretty sure there's a grade requirement for magna -- at most schools there was in the past, anyway

Your "case" says nothing about the "headlines for months," which is what I commented upon.
