So the doctor who worked with the CIA in Pakistan to help us locate OBL was sentenced to 33 years in jail for treason by a tribal court in Pakistan.
A question and a comment but first the definition of treason courtesy of dictionary.com:
trea·son [tree-zuhn]
1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
2.a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.
3.the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.
So treason is defined basically as an act against one's government or a violation of one's allegiance to one's state.
If that is the case, then is it safe to say that the official Pakistani stance on OBL was "he was with them (the Pakistanis)"?
Why else charge a citizen with treason?
With that being said, we should do 2 things:
1. Obama should call up Seal Team 6 and get them to spring the good doctor.
2. We should finally wake the hell up, realize that Pakistan is not our friend or ally and cut all financial aid to them once and for all.
If getting OBL was an act of treason in their eyes, then they don't stand with me.
