if the victims were in fact white supremacists, I won't be shedding any tears for those as*holes.

Regardless, the perpetrators should face the same charges they would face if the victims were anybody else.

Interesting then. Really changes the complexion of things. If the aim of their tactic was to force something into the national press, they may have succeeded.

They certainly are not advocates of MLK or Ghandi even ... police don't get paid enough.

You know, Icy, I've been pretty consistent in supporting countercultural movements. I'm all for the Tea Party, OWS, Ron Paul, and other activism, even if I take strong sides. Right now, I think we all agree that the powers-that-be are not hearing us. They are operating according to their own set of rules and understandings and basically trying to preserve a status quo that has little support. Whether it's OWS occupations, Tea Party rallies, or antics like this, it's not all bad. It's awfully hard for small voices to be heard in this country if they play by the rules. Now, I'm not defending violence one iota, but I do understand it. We can no more ignore the reality that many people right and left feel trampled on by our system anymore than we can ignore the reality that a large number of people truly believe abortion is murder. Is really hard to get people to listen. I don't know what the answer is.

Yes, violence tends to do that. What you call "interesting" the rest of us call "felony."

I wonder if they barged into a gay rights meeting and did the same thing if you would call it "interesting."

There you have it folks. A group of people storming into a public place and beating others with clubs is just "antics" which are "not all bad."

Like I said in my previous post, I wonder if you would consider it "antics" if a similar group of people did such a thing to a meeting of gay rights activists.
