Obama wasn't vetted, assuming he was born in Hawaii (which I do, if he was born in Kenya the Clintons would have gotten the info out in 2008) he lied on his bio from his publisher for 16 years (1991-2007 as per archive.org) until he decided to run for president in 2007.

He is a person who lies about and hides his history and this episode says a lot of bad things about the type of he is. This episode shows how the MSM has no pretence of fairness and is a propaganda arm of the DNC.

Icy, you're a reasonable guy, and you're clearly no partisan. So you're somebody I expect I can get a reasonable answer to when you make this claim: what evidence is there that he wasn't vetted? Why do you think past candidates were scrutinized to a greater degree than Obama was?

It's actually a pretty interesting opinion piece if you take the time to read it. The writer says he completely believes Obama was born in Hawaii, but the point is how Obama is almost a chameleon where he simply portrays himself in whatever way is most convenient at the time. If he's trying to sell books to limosine liberals, he pretends to be born in Kenya. If he needs to invent a girlfriend from 20 years ago to prove some sort of point, he invents a "composite." And the liberal media gladly gives him a free pass, especially in 2008.

Dring the 2008 campaign, we knew more about Bristol Palin's personal life than Barack Obama's.

Does Fox News belong in your categorization of the MSM, or not? And how 'bout the McCain campaign, the Clinton campaign, and the entire Republican apparatus? All reasonably well financed ventures, but yet all of these countervailing forces have yet to produce yet a single shred of actual evidence that the president isn't who he says he is. When the media wants info they find ways to get it. The media went mostly on what was written in his 2 books. It's not a case of he was bad or hiding dark secrets. It has been proven through discussion that he really wasn't vetted.

Let's just say the media has finally gotten around to questioning the content of the books - they just learned there was no girlfriend - she was made up. Any other candidate they would have sniffed that out earlier and fried him in the press for lying. There are other examples in the book where some is fact and some is fiction ... media ran with 100% of the book was non-fiction. In this day and age I find that amazing. Go through the election again ... all reported stuff on him was from the books and he wrote them ... then again some say he did not.

Also ... just for the record ... a little known fact. it was the democrats during the primary and not the republicans who initially questioned the BC. The democrats created the story - the MSM twisted it to a GOP nut job issue. MSM - they are good when they want to be.
