Ah, the logical extension of the know-nothing mentality. Kill em all and let God sort 'em out.

If you have kids, and one is murdered, do you think it's a good thing because he "might have" messed up later in life?

You can argue what you like in a lot of ways, but "it's good for the state to murder an innocent man because he might have done -- or might later do -- something or other" is not a very strong case.

Been there, done that too....

You just have to tell yourself...."I am a good person and gosh-darnit, I deserve it!" over and over again.

No one's perfect...and I've found there's nothing more wasteful in life in making any effort to be perfect.

My Jean Paul Satre for today....

The prosecutor/DA should suffer some kind of consequence for this kind of screw up. Maybe they wouldn't be in such a gosh darn hurry to kill somebody if they had to go to jail.

This stuff happens too often..

Life without parole, is a less expensive, much better option...

Where is the judeo christian ethic, that we often hear in these arguments???

Or perhaps it is based on the old testament??.. that seems to happen often.

I really have an aversion to pedophile/murderers though, people who rape and kill kids deserve what ever they get. Example the two guys in Conn. who tortured, raped and killed those two girls and their mother, to me they deserved the death penalty.
