Abraham Lincoln???

Really?????

We get it, you enjoy target practice on anyone prominent - - it's simply a sport to you.

Otherwise, who are you pining for to be the Executive, Pol Pot?

Yeah, clearly they should vote for the republicans, who treat them with respect in telling them just how distasteful and even evil they are while trying to deny them equal right...

Unlike the pubbies who fall in lockstep behin their candidates, harry, many homosexuals have been very disappointed with Obama for most of his administration. but you, of course, ignore that, since it doesn't fit your world "view"

And, no, all opinions aren't equally valid. You sound like you spent too much time in one of those librul classrooms where we don't want people's feelings hurt.

I could say that PR appears to be a neo-Nazi -- not a valid opinion based on your posts here, since there's nothing to support it. otoh, were I to say PR appears to be an independent who seems to lean a bit right politically, that would be a much more valid opinion, even if you or others don't completely agree with it.
Don't really wanna get on that "all opinions are not equal" merry-go-around again Chico.

But that really wasn't my point. My main point was that anyone who thinks they're on the "Right" side of the political spectrum and totally dismisses the other side and views them as evil is off their rocker....plain & simple.

All of us have family & neighbors who's perspective is at the other end of the political spectrum. Many of them are good people no matter what their political views are.

I agree with what you say your point was.

But you, others here and people outside this forum keep saying what you actually said as a response to some criticism -- that people have a right to their opinions and that all opinions are equal.

Nobody questions the first, and the second is simply untrue.

Wow,

Harry,Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest people ever to walk this earth, he had more balls then any politician alive today or in the last 250 years.

If he was alive today he would be fighting for gay rights and would be a lib....You really need to do some history research before you spout out **** like this, he was a great man and if I and others were 1/20 the man he was i'd be pretty happy with myself.

Now on topic,

Who cares? I hate this whole "gay" thing! If you love someone you should be able to marry them, what gives anyone the right to take happiness away from someone??? This is just like back in the day when interracial marriage was the big thing, is it ok to tell people they can't marry someone because they have a different skin color? No!~ Is it right to tell people who they can marry? No!~

Marriage is not between a man and a women, its between two people that love each other and care about each other and I and no one else has the right to tell them they can't get married....I love my wife but if I were "gay" I would want the right to marry my loved one and i feel like that's just the right way of thinking.

If you don't support being gay, that's fine but don't take away others rights to be happy.....What if I told you, you couldn't marry your wife because she was fat? or ugly? or had some bad DNA that could affect offspring? You would be mad as hell and fight everyday to be equal and have happiness.....

I don't believe in being born "gay"I think its a choice I don't believe in abortions but I have no right to take away others rights because of my own views, that's the great thing about being an American, you have the right to choose and the right to live your life they way you want! So even though I don't agree, who am i to take away happiness from others, who am i to tell others how to live their lives?

Man, it must really get to you that all the greats are Republicans. We pushed through emancipation, women's right to vote and civil rights.

We do ????

I'm about as conservative as we have on this board, yet I am okay with gay marriage... partly because I don't view it as a religious issue and partly because I have a niece that is "married" to a beautiful young lady here in NY state. When it came to us for a vote, we (as a state) did what was right for us. I don't begrudge any other state where the people decide otherwise for themselves. They (a state) are not stupid, they just don't think like we (you and I do). In fact, I invite all the gay folks from NC up a here to NY..... we're cool with it.

So on this issue, I agree with Obama more then Romney. Doesn't make me any less inclined to vote for Romney, I just think he's wrong on this one particularly issue. In fact, I think he's wrong on quite a few others too. Not nearly as many as Obama though, which is why I will vote for him. The "R" behind his name doesn't mean d!ck to me.

Bottom line......... I'm calling horse***** on your "lockstep" comment. Perhaps it's projection on your part, but it's not NEARLY accurate, at least amongst all my conservative friends (and I guarantee I know more then you do).
