Rick Santorum, made this comment in a speech during an August 2008 visit to a Catholic university in Florida.


We have astronauts on the international space station. Are they within or out of the reach of Santorum ability to defend them from the evil father of lies?

I think Santorum is embarrassingly myopic in that quote. The problem for him is that if his perceived father of lies is God, he would not be intelligent to know it.

Having said that, isn't it kind of scary how many people are voting for him. He was close to Romney in Michigan, and he's ahead in Oklahoma. Not that he will ever get the nod, but what does that say about Romney or these voters.
