If Santorum gets the nod....I dont even think it would be that close B5....Not saying it would be in the 1936 or 1984 levels of lopsidedness but in a general election what support would Santorum get beyond the Religious Right? He might win 10 states.

I may not be a huge fan of Obama but I would pull the lever for him a million times before I pulled it for someone like Santorum and "his" traits as a "full spectrum conservative."

My parents are fairly Conservative and they look like godless hippies compared to this guy.....

The past few days' events with Santorum exposes the obvious.

He's realizing "Omigod, I could actually WIN the nomination". This realization has scared him to death and he is subconciously torpedoing his run.

This is a public bedwetting.

Romney will gain the nomination by default. Who would have imagined that in 2012 Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum would make the Mittster sweat????

Right now, the Republican's are the AFC West of politics.

I think he knows he can never be the big fish in the big pond(President) so he's making certain to set himself up going forward as the biggest fish in a small pond(the evangelicals) This campaign gives him credibility for the next several decades. he's like the David Tyree of politics, one brief moment in the sun and then a lifetime of fond memories from the right sort of crowd.

I can't attest to "Rick's Pick's", a site that seems to deal with stocks, options, etc-this article by one of his regular bloggers was apparently featured there but it's a good read. As he said, each time one of them takes a lead they either say something bizarre or get caught in some scandal lol.

Santorum's a disaster every time he opens his mouth lately but this time he's gone into the deep end of the pool without his swimmies lol.
