Should be interesting.
Look at it this way, though. One less country to be sending billions of military aid. I wonder how that dynamic will play into this "trial". I really have no sympathy for any country that conducts its business in a 1930s fascist manner. Tell them we'll keep paying them, get the prosecution called off, call all Americans home, close the embassy and shut them off until they join the 21st century. Screw 'em.

Those commitments have nothing to do with democracy they are entirely focused on their relationship with Israel, so there is no attempt here to pressure them into behaving like a civilized society.

It will depend in a large part on what happens to those NGOs who run charities who they are threatening to put on trial. It goes front and center when one of them is the son fo a cabinet secretary ( Ray Lahood)....
