Although I don't give a crap about the issue of your thread, I have to agree with your perception of our politicians. They all make me sick as well.
I'm sick of the phony smiles, handshakes, waves to crowds and even speeches. I used to get a feeling of patriotism whenever I listened to a state of the union address. Even when "the other side's" guy was in office.
Not any more and it's not because I've changed, that's for sure. Our society has become conditioned to liars, cheaters and thiefs in various political offices and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Anyone see the Clooney movie, "Ides of March"? Kinda wraps up my feelings in a nutshell.

If that were a republican who said that, all of the people in here ranting at you, would be whining about Jesus Freaks and there bible bopping. It's Obama though, so he gets a pass. Afterall, most of his supporters who dislike religion, figure he's probably pretending anyway.

Personally, his comments are inconsequential to me. Who cares really. What I do get from them though, is his belief in collectivism, as opposed to individual freedom. Some may disagree, but this country wasn't set up to be collectivist. That's for the socialists Europe. Not us here at home.
