Now that pubbies are relegated to obstructing in congress, and actually won one of the houses, we're all pacifists that want to stop having anything to do with rescuing hostages or killing terrorists.

We have to be so strong nobody dares to challenge us and then we have to never intervene anywhere ever, and if we do we should have done it sooner to show real leadership.

Something like that.

Anyway it was the seals that did it, not Obama personally.

To have "guts" you need to be one of the seals...not the guy telling them what to do.

But I think the overall point is that he's nothing special...and prolly fairly lame for a potus.

I'm not sure why anyone would think that this is some courageous decision by a president. There's two choices really. Leave them there, or try to free them. If this were Iran, KofA, Urbuttizstan, or some other functioning and legitimate country we had to go into, then sure. Kudos for making the decision to go in. In Pakistan one can make a case for that exact thing. Somalia is a wasteland though. I don't think it takes "guts" to give the military the OK to send in a Seal team to knock off a few pirates in a wasteland. I'm glad he let the seals go in, but it is Somalia.
