Default US Navy Rescues Iranian Fishing Fleet

We may like each other, but I thought this was pretty cool. Hopefully, the news gets to the Iranian citizens.

Word has it that the Navy sailors gave the Iranian fisherman "US Navy" T-shirts to wear!

"A U.S. Navy ship has rescued the crew of an Iranian fishing vessel from pirates. The Iranians had apparently been held for weeks. The U.S. ship, part of the USS Stennis carrier battle group, took some 15 pirates prisoner. The Stennis is the same ship that Iran threatened just a few days ago as it transited out of the Persian Gulf."

Why would anyone (esp. you wistah) post this bs in this particular thread?

I'm very disappointed in you wistah! We have plenty of other "America bad!" threads you could have posted this crap in.

But I guess even if we do something good, people like you...never mind...you made your sorry point.

Here's another point to consider...

These fishermen were held hostage for 3 weeks. I'd bet their wives and children are very grateful to the US Navy even if you aren't.

It's an obvious ploy cooked up by the Mossad and Pentaverate to distract people from the fact that we are planning to steal all their oil.

I don't think I do get it...is the joke about waterboarding cuz it was the navy?

I actually am pretty funny and a bit wierd in real life...so you got that right wistah.

whatever...I thought it was both a cool story and somewhat ironic. Neither the sailors nor the fishermen want war...they're just pawns like you & I.

No. Nothing to do with the Navy. Nothing to do with the fine rescue operation. Very well done, sailors!
It was a joke about waterboarding because we're still messing around in the ME and we should not be. We tortured Iraqis for no reason...why not torture Iranians for no reason?

It was a bad joke, I'll give you that. But there was nothing offensive compared to what our military has shown it is capable of. Great things when it's allowed to, and horrible things when it's ordered to by much lesser men.

And that's all fine & dandy wistah, but it doesn't belong in this thread. I guess my first response to was correct.

Go sulk about torturing somewhere else buddy.
