Certainly there are many people who are better off. I'm sure Vince Wilfork, economically, earns far more than I do. But, we're talking about people of color. Why are you parsing it? What point are you trying to make? Why not come out and say it?

How so? I do know the unemployment rate is higher for blacks/Latinos but why is that?

I know most of the prisons are filled with blacks/Latinos? Who's fault is that? Do white people make blacks/Latino people do crimes?

Do white people hold back blacks/Latinos people from getting a better education?

There comes a time when people of every race color and creed need to man up, so life is not fair? deal with it.....Work harder be smarter! The only person to blame for you life is yourself.....

BTW wealth and stuff is not how you measure a man/womans worth, a measure of a man's worth is by what kind of person he or she is, wealth is a competition, life is not....

I'm assuming by "worse off" you mean money.....

Spoken like a middle class person who has no understanding of others. Your culture, your family, your school system, your church all taught you how to work harder and smarter (as defined by this society). I think it's pure arrogance when you take all your privileges for granted and simply assume poor people have them, and that the problem with them is that they are too lazy.

Race is defined by the majority. For much of our history, Anglo Saxons were thought to be the superior race. It didn't matter how hard the Irish immigrants worked, they were inferior. Even today people like you seem to think that the problem with blacks is that they complain too much and don't work harder and smarter, apparently unlike other races, or perhaps you want to clarify your remarks.

Or perhaps people who aren't in position of white privilege like yourself think that unfairness is wrong and should be addressed by their society, including government and its laws.

Again, that's white privilege speaking. If you're a victim of discrimination, you may not know what the prevailing society means by working harder. (Work two minimum wage jobs? Work faster? Never complain?) And furthermore, to imply that somehow the civil rights movement did not have a pair of balls because they blamed racism is an awful point of view. No wonder you defend Ron Paul.

By worse off, I mean income, safe housing, access to healthcare, safe neighborhoods, good schools, family assets, family stability, etc.
