Default What's large and blue and can wrap itself around an entire galaxy?

A gravitational lens mirage. Proving Einstein correct.

APOD: 2011 December 21 - A Horseshoe Einstein Ring from Hubble

The photos from Hubble are literally awewome, if one spends any time thinking about what they portray.

If the two galaxies weren't aligned in that way the 'blue one' would look like just another spiral galaxy. Amazing to think of the amount of gravity needed to lens the light from the distant galaxy that way.

Just curious - although this observation is in line with what we should observe, how does it square with your sig line?

Also: How do we know it confirms anything Einstein wrote? Couldn't God just have put it there?

Merry Christmas,
