Failed Tea Party Candidate Calls for Assassination Of Obama and His Daughters.
Jules Mason, former Tea Party candidate who recently ran for a local California office, recently went on a rant on his Facebook page.
First he called Obama a "monkey," and then went on to say
Quote:
"Assassinate the f----- n----- and his monkey children,"
The post has since been scrubbed from his Facebook profile, replaced with an explanation that the comments were "careless, emotionally driven remarks that had no real substance."
Manson, an avid Ron Paul supporter and libertarian, also writes that he has since been visited by the Secret Service, with whom he says he cooperated fully as he "was hiding nothing."
A month ago the previous president of the University Of Texas College Republicans Lauren Pierce, tweeted,
Quote:
"Y'all as tempting as it may be, don't shoot Obama. We need him to go down in history as the WORST president we've EVER had! #2012."
Pierce later apologized for the post, which was written hours after a man was arrested in connection with two bullets that struck the White House while the President was out of town.
This month, her successor, Cassie Wright, allegedly sent out an offensive tweet on Sunday that read:
Quote:
"My president is black, he snorts a lot of crack. Holla. #2012 #Obama"

They seem to think that since he is a Paul supporter he is a Tea Party guy. There was noting in that article or the linked Daily News article to indicate that, other than a claim that Paul is the 'father' of the Tea Party which is false.

"How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
correct... the tea party would never shrink the defense budget, even during a time of austerity. Paul would gut it.
The Tea Party took over libertarian values, threw in some racism and over-the-top gun pride, and wallah!
Then threw out a lot of the "boilerplate".. like the government has no role in a woman's right to choose, who you can marry, limited military, open borders and no overseas involvement unless there is a threat to the US...

I'm skeptical of that, actually. I doubt there's much in common b/t most tea partiers and most libertarians. As you allude to here, libertarians go well beyond lower taxes in their belief in individual rights and limited government.

Not all Tea Party People think like this racist ass hole does, do they....
Nor did I say they did. I wrote a thread about 3 rabid people. I never said "all" of anything.
In fact, again, I didn't actually say anything - I linked to two articles about three people who held some relative power in certain circles. I didn't comment on it at all.
Your own mind took it wherever your own mind tends to wander.
