Default Another Sweet Deal for Buffett

Well here is another reason Buffett was carrying water for Obama with his phony raise my taxes riff:

Another Sweet deal for Buffett

Quote:
-Buffett gets another sweetheart deal that makes him richer.

-PGE gets a long-term supply of alternative energy that allows them to grow for a few more decades.

-First Solar gets out of a huge headache. It gets get to sell solar panels to Topaz.

-The citizens of California that will use this power will get nothing. They will continue to pay the highest rates for electricity in the country.

-The US tax payers foot the bill for another $600 - $700mm. That's the "Vig" for Warren. Those taxpayers also get nothing in return.

More cronyism from the guy who proudly says the Market doesn't work, so he raids the game for his 'friends' using the taxpayers money.

So I guess raising his taxes is a good idea then?

I love the disclaimer early on where the guy says he's just gonna make stuff up and if Buffet doesn't like it he can drop him a line.

Not sure how you can blame Warren. The government is the one putting it's thumb on the scales of the marketplace by subsidizing something that isn't viable on it's own. Buffett is just exploiting stupid policy. He probably didn't even have to use a calculator.

When the govenment subsidizes something this heavily it takes Wall St. about five minutes to figure out how to channel most of the subsidies into their pockets. It happened when Enron jacked the state of CA after they "de-regulated" their electricity market and put all kinds of absurd price caps in place, it's happening now with residental solar and it happened when the federal government decided they wanted higher national home ownership rates.

It's almost enough to make you think that central planning isn't such a hot idea.

Don't be so quick to blame the player, your government set up the game..

His taxes haven't been raised as a matter of fact the IRS says his company owes a few billion they won't pay.

Exactly, something we can agree spoken like a Tea Partier!

See as long as the government has so much power and spends so much money we will continue to see this sort of cronyism.

There is HOPE after all!

All Presidents LOVE rich people including President Jug Ears Cucka Drawers Obama, most Presidents wind up being one of those Rich People, look at the two Chicken Pluckers from Arkansas (clintons).

I know, that's why I used "is" instead of "was".......As for him not paying his taxes, throw his ass in jail....I'm all for it, if that's true
