Is there a war on Christmas?
Is saying "Happy Holidays" an assault on Santa; I mean Jesus? Why does Fox News fixate on this non-issue every single year?
I don't give a toss about religion but say Merry Christmas to people.

Re: Is there a war on Christmas?
Is Fox at it again? O'Reilly or somebody else?
My company just sent out holiday cards to clients and vendors. Hope O'Reilly doesn't find that offensive. If any recipients somehow take a gesture of goodwill the wrong way, it says something about them.

Fox is all over it once again.
I have been in the workforce since the early '90's and the Company's I worked for always sent out Happy Holidays cards.

Re: Is there a war on Christmas?
this is what the right wing does... distract from real issues, where they're routinely backed into an unethical corner with no way out, and onto stupid crap like this that doesn't have a conclusion and doesn't really matter at all...
this way, nothing ever has to get done to acknowledge real societal problems, and their goal of making the "socialist" president look bad stays constant, to the detriment of the "lower" classes.
deflection and distraction are things cons have been perfecting for many years now. Unfortunately, the country is no longer fooled by their tired games, and as a result, they don't have a viable candidate to challenge the very vulnerable incumbent. ... In essence, no matter how compromised the left's ideals and solutions ultimately have become, they're still infinitely better than the alternative, and always will be.
Happy Holidays.

Re: Is there a war on Christmas?
Fox news recognizes the secret plot of our founders when they left any mention of Jesus or Christianity out of our founding documents. Their secret plan from the start was to DESTROY Christianity, and very cleverly their plan has seeped into the American soul so much that evil people today greet each other with "Happy Holidays" rather than "Merry Christmas."
Fox News Viewers Know Less Than People Who Don't Watch Any News: Study
Fox News viewers are less informed than people who don't watch any news, according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
The poll surveyed New Jersey residents about the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East, and where they get their news sources. The study, which controlled for demographic factors like education and partisanship, found that "people who watch Fox News are 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians overthrew their government" and "6-points less likely to know that Syrians have not yet overthrown their government" compared to those who watch no news.
Fox News, the favorite station of Tea Party activists, in two studies has been shown to attract uninformed viewers and apparently does a good job keeping them uninformed.

I voted "I don't care"...because in the end, people will get what the majority want.
I read an article (forget where) that said that today's Christmas has little to do with the REAL Christmas (Christian Christmas). So why not make Christmas a yuletide holiday for everyone?
Because non-christians have been celebrating it for years...not the Christian way, but more in the "spirit of he holiday". The article cited "Twas the night before Christmas", the invention of Santa Claus and "A Christmas Carol" for transforming Christmas from a quiet Christian holiday into the one we know today.
So if it's important for people to acknowledge the birth of Jesus on Dec. 25th, then we have that choice and shouldn't care what others do.
But at least let's all wish one another a Merry Christmas for Santa's sake!

I think you have me confused with Real World..."RW"...get it?
I can't stop anyone from having an opinion of me. But if I could choose the person I'd most want to not like me, it would be you hands down.
