Sensitivity to Muslims has not exactly been a hallmark of Herman Cain's presidential campaign. And today, Yahoo! News recounts an uncomfortable moment from the campaign trail with Herman Cain, in which the Republican presidential candidate tells of expressing relief that a physician with an Arab name turned out to be a Christian:
He did have a slight worry at one point during the chemotherapy process when he discovered that one of the surgeon's name was "Dr. Abdallah."
"I said to his physician assistant, I said, 'That sounds foreign—not that I had anything against foreign doctors—but it sounded too foreign," Cain tells the audience. "She said, 'He's from Lebanon.' Oh, Lebanon! My mind immediately started thinking, wait a minute, maybe his religious persuasion is different than mine! She could see the look on my face and she said, 'Don't worry, Mr. Cain, he's a Christian from Lebanon.'"
"Hallelujah!" Cain says. "Thank God!"

He's alive today, isn't he? What does he attribute that to?
Funny - we used to have two daytime ER docs - one, a black man who graduated from UofC, was our director and one of those brilliant medical diagnostician that you seldom run across. The other was, well, a white guy who graduated from some obscure medical school in Guadalajara who wouldn't recognize a fever if you showed him the thermometer.
But we'd have patients - they'd walk in or be carried in and they'd look around, assess the situation and say, "Hey, Nurse, can you make sure I don't get that black doctor? Nothing against him, of course, I just don't want a black guy lookin' at me."
Ditto for our women physicians if there was a male doctor working with them.
The really fun times where when it was a woman doc and the black doc.
Watching patients try to choose the lesser of the two evils was painfully amusing.

Thats not Cain's fault, the Rotten Element within the Muslim Religion makes people think like that "The bloodthirsty violence, the cruelty, the treatment of women and the hatred, people like Osama, Saddam and the Mohammad Atta gang of savages, those are the people to blame for the "Anti Muslim Feelings" that millions of people have.
They Praise Their God When They Kill (the bad ones)

Do you mean "who gives a sh1t," as in "We already knew he was not fit to be president because he's a prejudiced, anti-first-amendment son-of-a-gun," or "who gives a sh1t" because you agree with him?

I think its more about PR feeling like this is his personal blog forum and any threads or ideas that he doesn't like should be swept away.
