Keep coming pumpkin...I think you're starting to get it.

I wonder how anyone in their right mind can believe his thoughts are original while someone else just repeats the thoughts of others....

And you think BREAKING THE RULES and changing my quote is acceptable. Just shows your level of immaturity SDaniels.

Could the mod's please address this?

All this proves is that EVERYONE has prejudices...even a conservative African-American.

Get Real Patters....I'm looking forward to the first gay candidate who has prejudices! Even YOU Patters are not without prejudice.
I have prejudices, but my generation regulates them better than previous generations. My grandfather on my father's side was a racist, my father rejected racism but was certainly capable of stereotyping, I reject racism and stereotyping but am still aware that internally I have some stereotypes. Chances are my nieces and nephews are a step ahead of me because no one in my family is teaching them prejudice. A politician may have prejudices but it is truly wrong for him to share them; by doing so he is in giving people permission to have prejudices and teaching them about it. A kid who grows up without being taught directly or indirectly that Muslims (or anyone else) are a danger, will more likely grow up to be more tolerant than a kid who is taught by an ignorant fool like Herman Cain.

It's not that younger generations are inherently "Better" with prejudices than we or our parents are/were. It's just that we are all products of our times. So one can not hold any ill will toward the older generations regarding prejudice. If they do, they're wrong for it.

As we move on in time, we'll all begin to look more and more alike and the world will become smaller and the result will be less prejudice. We'll never have a world without prejudice...it's just not possible.

We're all ignorant fools at some point in our lives, so no big deal.

It's really something to watch all "the double standard Liberal bigots come out of the closet" and go after this "Real Black Man" simply because he doesn't choose to be controlled by "Massah Liberal"

Oh how I remember them puffing up their little self righteous chests and feeling all fuzzy about themselves when they would attack me with their phony bigotry ***** simply because I call Obama "Jug Ears" now they rip a Black Man to shreds and see nothing wrong with it.

Pant Suit Hillary found out the hard way what PHONY's they are.

I don't think younger people are inherently better, but I think that it's important for each generation to help the next generation be better, and when Herman Cain makes ignorant bigoted comments about Muslims he is not contributing to that evolution.

One man's ignorant fool is another man's genius. Reagan comes to mind.

Harry, let's list the bigotry in your post:
- Calling Cain a "real black man" as if you are the one who decides who's black and who's not
- Claiming that some of us complained about your calling Obama Jug Ears. I don't think I ever complained about that; to my knowledge it's simply an adolescent insult not a racist term. But, you choose to associate it with liberal racism, an thus apparently you regard "Jug Ears" as a racist term or your point is not relevant to what you're saying.
- Criticizing liberals for ripping a black man to shreds, when our criticism of him is based on facts--in this thread his own words. You're the one who is bringing Cain's race into question. No one else. The complaints about Obama were based on trying to recreate him as a Kenyan, Marxist, Muslim, i.e., not one of our people.

....
That's bs, PR. People also have the capacity for change. Simply being older doesn't excuse a person for being a virulent racist, anti-Semite, etc.

If they hate other people for their religion or skin color or whatever, it's not being a cute old man, it's being a hate-filled old man.

Any specifics on bigots attacking Cain, harry?

Or just more delusions?

Chico....pay attention and follow along, will ya?

Patters and I were NOT discussing individuals, we were discussing GENERATIONS.

And my point that each generation being more open to cultural differences has nothing to do (as in zilch) with younger generations being "better" at anything or having a greater capacity for anything. Humans are all the same and we are all products of the period in which we are born.

Once again, one can not hold any generation as more guilty of some aspect of our culture. We are and always have been, an evolving nation/society...and hopefully it will continue that way.

Funny, I thought the thread was about Herman Cain, and we know what a stickler you are for staying on topic. and given that generations are comprised of individuals...

So if I misunderstood, so be it.

and to bring your "generation" discussion back to the topic, regardless of the generation he belings to, Cain is, pure and simple, a bigot.
