Not much else to do--I mean, you can call your Senators Monday, I can call mine and say WTF? ...but beyond that...

And yes, 3 kids to a pool...yeah..

Okay--so Bush/Cheney are (I believe it was your term?) petrobots. What I want to know is, how difficult would it be for someone in power to say "psst...guys...we gotta do something here...so go start a solar power company, we'll give you access to all the desert land the US owns, you can put up a billion mirrors, we'll make asssloads of money"...

You know?

Well I'm thinking Haliburton could develop a solar division. Get the best of both.

God, imagine the oil lobbyists who got solar stopped while "environmental impact" is studied... I mean how many howls of laughter came from coming up with THAT idea... and then actually pulling it off?

Those guys must be in stitches.

Couldn't possibly say it better myself. Sigh.

Dude, quit being a condescending ass. Can't you figure out that "while working on alternatives" means I agree with the thread. Get a grip, buddy.

I'm not going to join you in namecalling here.

Your full post read as such:
___________
"The best thing we can do right now is start drilling our own natural resources while working on alternatives. But Granny Pelosi won't allow that. Anyone who thinks this is just the Republicans has been to the Patters School of Partisanship too long. With expedited paperwork and approvals, drilling for our own oil would have a serious (positive) impact on gas prices quickly while we work on alternatives. The alternatives are interesting but none have been proven to be able to work on the large scale we'll need."
_____________

You threw "while we work on alternatives" in there twice - - submerged between the "Granny Pelosi", "Patters School of Partisanship and calls for expedited oil drilling. You then end with the "alternatives are interesting but none have been proven to be able to work on the large scale we'll need".

Gee, I'm so sorry I didn't notice how you agreed with (or even STAYED ON) the subject of this thread.

No namecalling, just sticking to the subject of the thread.

As long as the current "Big Oil" powers are shut out of the New Age alternative power companies, I'll be happy. What we need to do is allow "other" companies a head start while the oil companies keep drilling for more of their record profits.

"Psst...Take it all home boys, it's the last you're gonna get"
