There are crappy judges on both sides. I'll be happy to throw bricks at those judges in a separate thread anyday.

You are right. (Although, you probably mean W. Bush nominees). The father put the estimable Clarence Thomas on the bench there.

No doubt about it, without Alito it still gets slashed 80% 20 years after the disaster.

Again dude, the VOTE was 5-3, and ALITO didn't take part in the case. Do the math.

Don't forget that even Souter--who's almost lefty himself--voted for the majority.

As I mentioned, Souter is the one wobbly. I see him as 65-35 righty.

Once again, the Father (Bush) was an oil man too. Clarence Thomas still sits on that bench.

No Roberts, no Thomas, and (perhaps) the Alaskans wouldn't have gotten screwed a second time, 20 years after the fact by Fat Bastard.

However, it is what it is. "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts what a wonderful world it would be".

You do? Don't take this wrong--but based on what? Souter is almost a neighbor of mine...every time I see a court ruling he's right there with Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg.

Ah, who knows. Maybe I'm more partisan than I think...
