He's highly experienced, having been Guv of Utah and ambassador to China, he's never said Uzbeki...stan, he's not a moron like Bachman, he doesn't have a horribly oversized head like Gingrinch, no n-head's in his past, he's not an azzhole like Santorum and he's flip flopped roughly 9000 fewer times than Romney has. He also has three funny and good looking daughters and drives a Harley. Still he's pulling at best about 1% of the vote.

I like Huntsman and have stated that many times in other threads. He is way to sane and qualified to be the GOP candidate for President in this election cycle. That is a sad state of affairs.

To me he's Romney without all the flip flopping and without MA's UHC law to hide from. That discounts Romney's business experience, but I'm not sure how much weight that carries. I just can't fathom why Santorum, for example, is cleaning his clock.

except that the term "RINO" is meaningless, since being a "Republican" is basically meaningless.

The only things the GOP has stood for for the past couple decades, at least, are lower taxes and higher spending.

Huntsman is to the right of Romney (or at least more consistent) on issues such as abortion, gun rights, and taxes, and plus he was elected in one of the most conservative states in the nation (Utah), so I'm surprised he hasn't done better than Romney.

You know the answer. Ronnie was practically a communist. He paid lip service to the anti-abortion crowd, but did nothing substantial. He raised taxes, created record deficits, cut and run from Lebanon after 240 soldiers were murdered by terrorists. Hell, he even colluded with the Soviets to end the Cold War. If that's not liberal, what is! The guy was a Marxist and probably should have brought up by the Republicans on charges of treason!
