Default China Indicates It's Interested in Developing Nuclear Capability!!

Ok...when does stupid become stupid enough?

Ubeki-beki-bekistan was bad enough....but now Herman Cain has warned us that we have to keep our eye on China because they've indicated they're "trying to develop nuclear capability."

Herman Cain: China Indicated It's 'Trying To Develop Nuclear Capability'

News Flash, Herman!! China's had nuclear capabilities since 1964.

The United States and the Chinese Nuclear Program, 1960-1964

In fact, they've got an estimated 450 nuclear weapons on hand.

Since its inception, China's nuclear weapon program has relied on a mixture of foreign assistance, indigenous know-how and espionage to steadily develop and modernize its nuclear arsenal from its first implosion device to the development of tactical nuclear weapons in the 1980s. As a result of this program, China is assessed to have at least six different types of nuclear weapons: a 15-40 Kt fission bomb; a 20 kt missile warhead; a 3 Mt thermonuclear missile warhead; a 3 Mt thermonuclear gravity bomb; a 4-5 Mt missile warhead; and a 200-300 Kt missile warhead. China may also posses some tactical nuclear weapons. The Natural Resources Defense Council estimates that China's current nuclear stockpile includes about 450 nuclear weapons.

China's Nuclear Weapon Development, Modernization and Testing

They're not "trying," Herman....they've succeeded. It would be reassuring to know that our president was aware of the fact.

Its odd that he'd know that China's been working hard on developing aircraft carriers of late; but not know that they have the bomb.

Pretty sure he misspoke and intended to comment on "continued development" but of course blunders like these get magnified.

He clarified his statement later today on FOX buisness:

"I don't have to know the nuclear capabilites of Chiggity-ching-chon-Ubekki-bekki China town"

He then smashed a gong.

He may have, but you have to admit that it happens A LOT. This moron would get us all killed if there was a chance in hell he could be nominated, much less elected. Morons like this guy, Palin and many other GOP contenders must be an embarrassment to the rational members of the party. As an American and human being, I get embarrassed by them. You know the feeling when you're watching Larry David or Michael Scott? That kind of embarrassed.

Public figures have missteps all the time now... in this era we're simply more aware of it. Just need to get used to it. They're on camera so much it's impossible not to make mistakes. This game of "gotchya" isn't helpful. An interview is much different than crafting a policy surrounded by advisors.

I'm with you on public figures having missteps but Cain doesn't help himself when he makes fun of a Country and then proudly states that he has no idea who the President of that Country is.
