George Carlin, R.I.P.
Best known for playing the kindly Mr. Conductor on "Thomas the Tank Engine" and his rigorous fitness habits, comedian George Carlin died at 71 after almost surviving his 48th heart attack.
Personally, Carlin's work and philosophy most closely reflects my own. While his later work got more bitter and negative (Harry Boy knows what I'm talking about), his cynicism and utter frustration with the bahavior and gullibility of the human race was, IMO, a reflection of his disappointment with people's inability to recognize bull***** when they see it. More to the point, he might have been saddenned at how we tended to, seemingly without fail, deceived our own potential and reverted into the soft, cushy and SAFE life that conformity and obedience promised.
For proof, I offer the subjects of discussion on these threads...including this one if you like.
Have at it, sheep.
