The left is pushing homosexuality at a rapid rate, you are bombarded by it in the media, and at every turn. What is left to be seen, is how much this view is going to be rejected by the American people.

The more and more, child porn cases, I do, and everytime, the guy turns out to be some sort of sexual deviant (and democrat), the less and less "tolerant" I've become.

its ok i guess to stereotype all "religious types" as all thinking and behaving the same way, just dont do it to a group Patters belongs to.
Oh...here we go!

Poor Christians! It's OK to dump on homosexuals because someone says Christians and religious types are stupid and insane (OK Patters said "wrongheaded"...whatever)

Poor Christians can't get a break in Amerika!

I must be getting old...but there's a huge difference between a guy saying "wrongheaded" and another guy yelling "HOMO! PERVERT! DEVIANT!"

I mean...Lifer--sometimes you make good points, and a lot of times Christians do get treated badly. But to compare a guy saying that he thinks Evangelical Christians have wrong-headed beliefs is a little different than the above.

And I'll tell you--my aunt and uncle got into some weird Baptist thing where they read ancient latin and so forth, and my uncle told my grandmother, who'd been a christian all her life that she had to be saved, he couldn't bear the thought of her in Hell...she was beginning the decline into alzheimers at the time, but she remembered that...and for that stupidity, I'll freely say he's wrongheaded. I'll say a few other things, but Patters would yell at me...

Yes, the left has pushed equal rights for all sorts of people. Gays should have equal rights, but in many states it's still legal to discriminate against them.

I'd be very surprised if there's a correlation between party affiliation and sexual deviancy, unless you consider "gays," people in mixed marriages, etc. sexual deviants. From what I've read, the people who engage in child abuse are into the issue of control and often don't have any adult relationships.

It does concern me though if the authorities are targeting gays and Democrats in their quest to fight child abuse.

Patters, do you ever have days where you just say "screw it, I'm not gonna be like that (your post above, specifically the last sentence), or is it a reflex by now?

No disrespect intended--I'm actually still chuckling about it.

I don't want to speak for FTW at all, but I wonder if he meant the media/entertainment complex instead of "the left"? And I will say, the presentation of gay people on tv is a little disturbing. The lesbians are almost always either gorgeous or they look like male professional wrestlers, and the gay men are sort of "Fab Five" clones. And very very few of the gay men I know act like that...and I have yet to meet one of those drop dead gorgeous lesbians.

I think you should pay more attention to the straight characters on tv, of whom there are many more, and who also are great looking, too. Very few of the men or women I know look or act like the people on tv, regardless of their sexual orientation.

I don't really watch sit-coms or dramas, I was thinking of that guy who's judging "she's got the look" or whatever on TV Land (bald guy--really funny), like that.

Besides which, I think if I were gay, I'd be more offended by seeing almost every tv character who was gay being a very stereotypical type.

But that's just me.

And yes, I realize most characters on tv aren't real. Which is one reason I don't watch stuff unless it's on History or one of the Discovery channels.

The people that should be cleaning P Town up are the "good homosexuals"

It kind of reminds of the "Good Muslim Bad muslim" thing.

The homosexuals "orgying" on the beach make it look bad for the good homosexuals.

The terrorist Muslims "killing" all over the world make it look bad for the good Muslims.

The Good Should Fight The Bad (but, will they)

Well, we agree. I don't have cable and almost only watch movies.
