By own experience is that politicians are no more dishonest than construction people, police officers, lawyers, bankers, union leaders, ministers, engineers, etc. I suppose it's always easier to make accusations against members of occupations to which you do not belong. There are many decent people in politics, but there are also many decent people who are incompetent and there are of course a few dishonest people as well.

The fact that the campaign feels it has to set up a website to address all the stuff that has been brought forward, is very telling.

The DNC is trying just as hard to smear McCain, yet he doesn't need a website to keep them all "sorted out".

Plus the Form on which it is printed was last revised in 2001!!!!

Why couldn't they produce the ORIGINAL???

I completely agree with most of that due to my own experience. I remember getting a job as a car salesman some 20 years ago. Here I was, a fresh college graduate in need of some income. I couldn't find anything available in my field so I took the car salesman job. It was amazing how differently I was looked at by people I already knew and how differently I was treated by people that I met once they knew what I did for work. How was I one day an ok, honest guy and the next day a guy not to be trusted? The part I disagree with you about is that professinal political spinners are paid to be dishonest. They spin with inuendo and stretch to create something negative out of nothing. All political parties are guilty of it.

So are you now accusing Obama of forgery? What exactly are you suggesting? Can you show me a link to McCain's birth certificate?

At any rate, it appears Obama has now debunked at least four lies and innuendoes by the right:

(1) That he was born before Hawaii was a state
(2) That his real name is really Barry, but he changed it to Barack
(3) That he is not an American citizen
(4) That he had another middle name, possibly Mohammed

Sort of makes the righties look pretty foolish, I think.

Limbaugh said he has heard rumor of such a tape but hasn't heard any tape of Michelle. Lie #1 from the pro Obama website. If he said such a thing they should have posted a sound bite with the statement.

This guy seems to be a nutjob, he failed a polygraph about his claims and has no credibility, RW blogs have discounted his claims also.


Stone is a sleazebag in his personal life it seems, whether a tape of MO exists spouting racist stuff is a rumor at this date, whether it is a lie remains to be seen. If I were a pubbie and wanted to use this tape, I would wait till the day of his acceptance speech.Releasing such a tape in June would be a waste from a tatical POV don't you agree Patters.

A rumor at this time. If nothing is released by Nov, this will have turned out to be a lie.
