Wow.

Some of that might bring more money into the government but there's no gas price savings there. Maybe - maybe - a little if you believe in the price gouging stuff, which I don't. But let's say there's a little savings on gas prices there. All the other stuff would COST oil companies money and certainly wouldn't bring gas prices down. If her argument is that oil companies aren't paying their fair share, I would disagree but at least her argument would be viable. But this stuff lowering gas prices is . . . funny.

Not at all, I simply asked why Bill, with Al Gore...Mr. Environment himself...didn't take more aggressive action toward developing alternate energy sources.

It's quite simple, really: some people want to blame everything on Bush. My point is that they're all rotten from the neck up.

BTW, 'flex...when did you get a stick up your butt about me? We used to get along.

He vetoed drilling in ANWAR had we started the amount we would be gfetting from ANWAR would be greater than what we buy from the Saudi's. HE also stopped development in other places. HArry Reid filibustered Bush's attempt to drill ANWAR and other domestic sources. Increased supplies would have stopped the speculators.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Ah, "Hello??"

Did you fella's not see where I explained the dramatic rise in Oil?

here it is again..

One thing people seem to overlook is that the international price of oil is set in US dollars. Since the value of the US dollar has declined DRAMATICALLY, much of the rise in price is to offset this decline.

So blame our faltering economy and the genius fed bank guys who kept lowering our interest rates that caused a dramatic rise in the money supply that resulted in the decline of the US dollar...there you go.

Rocket science
