Seems like a good place for some of that "middle ground," doesn't it?
There's the extreme that says "Don't even mention sex." in schools to this......and neither of them is really right.
I believe there should be sex education in the schools. It would be nice if all parents had "the talk" with their kids, but they don't - and even those that do have it don't always do a good job of it. And sometimes kids won't ask their parents a question that they'd ask a teacher.
Kids should have good information about "how," and the "why." They should get educated about sexually transmitted diseases and how to prevent them - pregnancies and how to prevent them, too.
If there are extra questions, they can be handled, I'm sure. I just don't see that introducing detailed instructions on positioning, sadomasochistic practices or bestiality needs to be taking place.
The "oral sex with braces," however, brings an old ambulance call story back to mind.....only it didn't involve braces, it involved 2 teenages with "special" secret piercings that got tangled and parents who were due home any minute.
Sometimes I really miss that job.
