Default OWS vs Tea Party

From a recent NBC/WSJ poll:

One section of the poll discusses the Occupy Wall Street protests, described as "sit-ins and rallies in New York City and other major cities around the country with people protesting about the influence Wall Street and corporations have on government." In response to whether they supported or opposed the protests, 37 percent of respondents said they did, while 18 percent said they tended to oppose them.

Meanwhile, only 28 percent said they viewed the Tea Party positively, while 41 percent said they opposed the group. Based on the numbers, the Occupy Wall Street protests have a net favorability of plus 19 percent while the Tea Party has a net favorability of minus 13 percent.

Multiple polls have indicated more Americans support rather than revile the Occupy Wall Street movement. A Time Magazine poll conducted during the same period found that 54 percent of respondents said they were very to somewhat favorable of the protesters, while 23 percent said they felt somewhat to very unfavorably about them. Twenty-three percent said they did not know enough about the movement to have an opinion.

Meanwhile, only 27 percent said they had a favorable opinion of the Tea Party.

It's expected, America is turning into a ***** hole.

The Muslims are right, they call us "The Great Satan"

Nothing is forever, thats life, I'm glad I lived when I did.

Some day America will be two or three different country's all fighting with each other, Davy Crockett, Columbus, Slavery, Walt Disney, MLK, Easter, Xmas, George Washington and his Cherry Tree will be long forgotten, whacko's will burn our history books, they won't want the people to know how good it was.

Someone **** in your Wheaties this morning Harry?

While I hope for a real revolution I still want us to be the United States The Muslims are wrong, for all our faults we don't behead our people and we don't stone our women, if anyone is the great Satan its them....

As for the topic, it makes sense people are starting to smarten up! The tea party is a joke and bankrolled by millionaires and billionaires while the OWS is everyday real people!

I wonder if they asked the favorability of "Occupy Wall Street" versus the favorability of "a series of nation-wide rallies protesting the extent of government intervention in our lives, excessive national debt, and government take over of healthcare".

Ah, but the Tea Party is so much more than that, khayos.

The correct question would have to be "a series of nation-wide rallies, financed and arranged by big businesses such as the Koch Brothers, protesting the extent of government intervention in our lives, excessive national debt, and government take over of healthcare as well as being committed to banishing all funding for women's health care via Planned Parenthood, the abolishing of all abortions, even for those pregnancies which results from rape or incest, lowering taxes to the rich while raising taxes to the poor and middle class, building a death fence to stop illegal border crossings and dedicated to the proposition that America is a Christian nation only.

Im sure if the OWS people simply start wearing powdered wigs and shouting false facts about the founders while carrying mis-spelled signs, and machine guns, everyone will be on board.

Also....spending...we must stop the gosh-darn spending...

Funny. Should I respond with "Soros, increase in crime, taxpayers paying for police and sanitation in the millions, communism, anti-Semitism, etc."

If this movement is so true, let's see what happens in November 2012. Want to wager?

You may reply with anything you like.

Personally, I think both "movements" ought to stop with Koch and Soros. If you can get the money out of it, I think we'd all have a much better chance.

At this point I'm not at all convinced about a money trail from Soros to OWS. All there is is some tenuous tie between Soros gave money to this group who gave money to a Canadian magazine who promoted OWS. Now the Koch Brothers are all over The Tea Party.....and it's documented.

Seems so silly to "wager" when so much can happen in 13 months, doesn't it? How can you be so "sure" of anything right now? I'm certainly not. Just because I know what I'd like to happen, just because right now it looks to me like none of the Republican candidates can beat Obama, regardless of his falling popularity, I'm surely not positive about any of it.

We've all seen how fast the world changes. How quickly politicians fall from grace. How easily they rise, how rapidly they decline.

What makes you so convinced, at this early date, that you know what the outcome is going to be?

I have an open off that if Obama is re elected that I will leave the political forum, and if Obama loses then the person(s) taking me up on the offer will leave the forum.

No takers so far.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

I'll take the bet only if R Paul doesn't make the cut, other then that all the other GOP'ers are god awful.....

If Cain or Romney get the nod, Obama will get a second term, it might not even be close.....For all Obama's faults and some of his mistakes he's light years ahead of any GOP candidate but Paul imo.
