How do you define winning??

We spent between 3-5 trillion dollars not including "legacy" costs for veterans.

We killed between 130K and 150K Iraqi women and children.

We destroyed a country and had to rebuild it.

We lost over 4500 of our soldiers.

Over 30,000 of our soldiers were wounded, not counting those with invisible wounds.

There are no winners in wars, bet you that Iraq will not be able to be a sustainable democracy and our actions there will continue to haunt us for generations to come.

I noticed that the initial reactions were "about time" and stuff like that.

I also noticed someone's mentioned that the righties are frothing on the national stage about what a terrible idea it is and how Obama's doing it all wrong.

Haven't read all 5 pages here, but it'll be interesting how long it takes our local righties to start echoing the rightie talking points about how bad getting out of Iraq is.

After all, their whole "conservative" or "republican" world changed on a dime when Obama was elected, and they were suddenly all instant hippies. I can't imagine it'll take them more than a day or two to do another 180 and say it's just terrible that Obama is getting out of Iraq (which he is no doubt doing because he hates Israel.)
