Default Move On McClellan should donate profits to War Vets..

Now this is interesting, Move on has come out and said this, reported in the highly reliable and esteemed Washington Times.. so that has to make it correct and accurate.. can their be common ground between Move on and the Wrighties... ????

The liberal anti-war group MoveOn.org today launched a petition drive calling on former White House official Scott McClellan to donate the proceeds of his book to veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The petition drive, intended to create pressure for Mr. McClellan to be asked about it on the morning news-interview shows Sunday, is the latest signal of a backlash by Democrats and Republicans alike against the former press secretary for turning on his ex-boss, President Bush.

MoveOn's petition e-mail, sent out to its supporters Saturday morning, said that Mr. McClellan's "coming clean is admirable.”

"But McClellan shouldn't profit off the role he played in our nation's largest foreign policy blunder,” the release reads.

"After spending years defending the Bush administration and perpetuating the lies that led our country into war, Scott McClellan is poised to make bank — his tell-all book is a bestseller and he may make hundreds of thousands or millions,” MoveOn says. "Meanwhile, our troops are still dying in Iraq.”

Did anyone hear him on the Today show Friday admitting that Boy King told him that he gave the OK to release Plame's identity to the press?

If Congress is listening, and they get him to testify, that qualifies as a bombshell. Too late, but validation, nonetheless.

The thud you heard? That was Fitzgerald hurling his coffee mug against the wall in disgust.

Move On is desperate for attention and credibility, more people in America listen to me than they do Move On.

Why single out McClellan, because he wrote a tell-all book about the White House propaganda and lies in which he may have helped covered-up versus neo con authors from the White House who still continue to sprout lies.

Let's see if he donates the money. You've got to love people who chastize Richard Clarke for not sticking to his principles and then running to write a book for money, who then don't stick to their principles, and go write a book for money.

This is funny since both move on and the publisher of the book are funded by Soros...

Holy *****e, I'd actually agree with MoveOn on this one.

I actually have a legitimate question for you (so we can drop the insults for a post or two).

If Bush (or any president) has the executive authority to declassify any document or person at any time, then what exactly would congress do?

Assuming it's true (and giving the motivations of the source in this thing - $$, it's far from proven fact at this point), what is the crime?

Certainly, if true, you could argue it a *****ty use of executive authority, but besides possible censure, what would congress get involved for?

Maybe you should look a little harder? He got six books published by them...but he paid for them. It's a vanity press. So why would they suddenly pay Scott? Hmmm?

Interesting idea, but as you have nothing to back up what you say.. then it means absolutely nothing..

BTW he has now agreed to donate a portion to injured vets..
