The teacher knew what the curriculum was, and decided to break the law. Whether it's a stupid law or not doesn't count.

I mean, that's one thing you fail to mention in your post, that the law says what the teacher can and can't say/teach in class. He violated the law.

It doesn't change that it was against the law. You don't answer the question, do you think people should ignore the law?

BTW it was a she, not a he... there is not enough info right now to comment, except for the hysteria created by the wrighties.. I know you all have enough information based on one newspaper article... but some of us would prefer to wait, that seems the intelligent method.

Ms. Crooks or Ms. Lindsey have some splaining to do..

You're right, it was a she, typo, my bad.

What hysteria created by the wrighties though? One newspaper article, and one person commenting on it it (me) saying it was a stupid law but a law nonetheless.

What do you need to wait to determine?

Well...a sex-ed teacher broke the law by answering questions posed to her by students, the teacher has been suspended and an opportunist nut job legislator is going to try to ram through legislation that will make things more restrictive...I wouldn't say nothing happened.

But wes posted it because it fits his template.

Schools can teach math, english, science and (if it's unbiased) history. Aside from that they should leave my kids alone. It's my job to talk to my kids about what is appropriate with regard to drugs, sex, etc, not the school. I hate having to undo the damage schools do like when my kids come home talking about MMGW. Not the school's business.
