Wow! I can't tell if Herman Cain is suffering from bi-polar disease, the inability to remember what he said yesterday or just says whatever he thinks the people in front of him at any given moment wants to hear.
Regardless, I can't wait to see what he says tonight. It's not everybody who can apologize and double down at the same time.
Saturday 10/15/11
Speaking to a rally sponsored by the Roane County Tea Party, Mr. Cain said that part of his plan would be to “secure the border for real” with a fence.
“It’s going to be 20 feet high. It’s going to have barbed wire on the top. It’s going to be electrified. And there’s going to be a sign on the other side saying, ‘It will kill you — Warning.’” At an earlier rally, on the campus of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tenn., he added that the sign would be written “in English and in Spanish.”
Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said Sunday he wasn’t being serious when he told a crowd this weekend that he wants an electric fence to span the border along Mexico.
Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press with David Gregory, Cain said, “That’s a joke, David … That’s not a serious plan.”
“I’ve also said America needs to get a sense of humor, Cain added.
After a brief meeting Monday with tough-talking Arizona Sherriff Joe Arpaio, who has become the poster boy for his state’s harsh immigration laws, Cain offered a mea culpa (three to be exact) onbeing so light-hearted on such a serious issue.
“It is probably not a joke you are supposed to make if you are a presidential candidate. Mea culpa. Mea culpa. Mea culpa,” he said,
Asked by reporters about the electrified fence, he seemed to modify his stance a bit, embracing some version of the fence.
“You are right, I don’t apologize for using a combination of a fence, and it might be electrified. I’m not walking away from that. I just don’t want to offend anyone,” he said, according to the Republic.

Well if there was audio of the comment you might have a point, but as it is the words and meaning will be twisted by the left to smear since they can't run on the Obama record.
This however is a good sign as it means that Cain is being taken seriously as a threat to the left.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Sorry, I forgot you prefer your news in pictures and sound as opposed to words.

Good stuff, 13. If there isn't coverage, it's because a candidate is a serious threat and the evil liberal media is ignoring them. If there is coverage, it's because the candidate is a serious threat and the evil librul media is trying to destroy them.
"I’m going to build a wall twenty feet high, cover it in barbed wire, and electrify it. I’m going to put a big sign on it that says if you touch this, it will kill you. Then I’m going to dig a big moat as long as a football field and I’m going to fill it with alligators.
If anyone can climb that wall, swim that moat, fight off the alligators and live to tell about it, I’m going to find them a job."

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." Sounds like borderline paranoia.
It isn't coverage it is a series of attacks from the establishment, I include pubbies like Rove, National Review and so on.
Don't worry I know you are incapable of telling the difference.

That certainly puts the seriousness of his words into their proper context. Personally, I'd prefer two fences with a mine field in between. Maybe add a few remote controlled .50 caliber machine guns too.
