Maybe you should talk to the oil execs raking in record profits
The state of CA "makes" 5 times as much per gallon as the oil companies do. As you have been told over and over, oil companies make very little per gallon, no more than before, the record profits come from record consumption. I pay about 8 cents per gallon in profit to the oil companies but 40 cents or so to CA + more to the feds.

It's no surprise that Castro would prefer Obama to McCain. In fact, I would think most of the civilized world would prefer Obama to McCain. In fact, anyone who opposes war, even if their motives are selfish, would probably prefer Obama to McCain. Who is more likely to attack Cuba? Obama or McCain?

So McC is going to attack Cuba? I know his idol is Teddy Roosevelt, but isn't that taking it a bit far?

but it's the best I could find. Although prices have gone up considerably since then, obviously the cost of the raw product has too.
Anyway :
"Based upon a $3.00 gallon of gasoline, the average break-down is as follows.
Gasoline Retailer $.01 cents per gallon Oil Company $.08 cents per gallon
Refining $.29 cents per gallon
Marketing/Distribution $.32 cents per gallon
Taxes $.59 cents per gallon
Cost of crude $1.71 per gallon (delivered)"
This matches what I said which is what I've heard in numerous places on TV news, etc. Heck, in CA, there is a Gas Tax Tax, yes, we are taxed 8% of the Federal tax on gas.

Seen something quite different last week there was an article that I read discussing the profit margins of oil companies, that article indicated the profit margin was between 7% and 11%.. however cannot find that source.. here is one link that says Oil Companies are now about 7.6% which equates in California to about $.38 per gallon.. so your numbers are somewhat off..
On the margin. The oil industry urges people to look beyond its profits to its profit margin: about 7.6 percent of revenues late last year. That's not much higher than the 5.8 percent profit margin for all U.S. manufacturing, and if you exclude the financially troubled auto industry from that analysis, the oil industry actually appears less profitable than most manufacturers, which were earning 9.2 cents on every dollar of sales.

Because Obama would be better for Cuba. He'd actually talk to Castro and possibly end the embargo. You know, as in make the world a better place instead of invading other countries for oil.
Of course Obama would be better for Cuba and he'd be better for everybody else all over this world that "Hates Us".
