Default 72,000 people gather at Obama Rally

Unreal....

http://www.oregonlive.com/politics/o...230.xml&coll=7
================================================== ===============

Tens of thousands jammed Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland on Sunday to watch Sen. Barack Obama wrap up a busy weekend in Oregon and a historic campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Portland Fire Bureau estimated the crowd at 72,000. About 60,000 squeezed inside the gates, and 12,000 watched from outside.

================================================== ================

I've gotta admit, this guy seems to bring 'em out. Can John McCain rally this many people on a Monday afternoon, to hear him speak?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com//gadge...ide_167_2.jpeg

I'm a young guy....but in my 30 something years on this planet....I have never seen this kind of momentum.

I'm sure you peeps will et me know that Reagan had an 80,000 person rally....or Nixon...etc. But like I said...in MY time, this seems like a groundswell, and it keeps getting bigger.

37,000 people show up at the same place 81 times a year, others pay enourmous sums, just be one of them. Does this mean that we should all vote for Francona?

was not aware that Hagar or Francona were running for office.. pretty stupid analogy, does not make much sense in the context of this article. But then...

Alright, how bout this analogy, Luis Farakhan got about 600,000 to scam stolen plane tickets to attend his 1 million man march (Obama was there, too). Should we elect this racist pig?

I do not understand the context of your answers, except for more race baiting, you make little sense responding this way.. but what do you expect..

How does it go, I like your message board, but do not like its moderators...

I think we have gotten off track. shocker.

Van Halen, Tito Francona and Farrakhan were not running for president. Of those three...I'd back Tito though.

That only works when you compare it to the Eagles and Heart at Yale Bowl in '80. (110,000). That means the Eagles win over VH.
