You're only reinforcing my point scout. Involvement by Saudi officials doesn't mean that the US government conducted an inside job, in planning, and conducting 9/11. It simply means that after the fact, with hindsight, we uncovered information that would really look bad. That's not just GW's problem, that would also affect the administrations, pols, and agencies before him. I'm not saying that the government was wise to hide unfavorable facts from the people it's elected to represent. I'm simply trying to bring to attention why they would hide such info, or what a "cover up" would involve. The people in the know wouldn't want to whiz on the Saudi's publically like that. There are a number of reasons why. Maybe they should've, but they chose not to. They instead opted for the long standing option. Geopolitical change in the ME.
I agree, that the U.S. did not conduct an inside job. However, for anyone to throw out the 'tinfoil hat' line is ridiculous. No, the U.S. was not involved in the implementation of 9/11, tho, there is absolutely a cover-up of facts by the U.S. in which cost lives and decisions were made based entirely on political gain. Some want to discredit and mock the widows of 9/11, the fact is they got double jeopardy.

Tin foil would apply to anyone who thinks that the US government conspired, joined, aided, assisted, or undertook an attack on itself, on 9/11.
I'm having a tough time understanding the point of lives lost & decision making for political gain.

Is there a difference in mocking the widows who put themselves out on various tv shows to get 15 minutes and mocking "the widows"? Because honestly, if you're going to get on tv and make claims and assertions, you earn what you get back--tragic circumstances or not.

I think what most of these spouces want is closure, and to know why their loved ones died that day. The official explanation isn't enough for a lot of Americans, especially the widows. And basically what you are saying is 'shut-up!' and if you don't shut up, be prepared to be mocked for your time on TV, by those who are pimping the public to sell books.
You know, I'm sure it is wasy for you guys to spout this garbage, because:
A. You weren't there.
B. You didn't know anyone who died that day.
Did the US have intelligence that Al Queda was going to attack, of course they did, they had already attacked us 5 times before (with no responce from the gutless coward getting a BJ under his desk).
But Anyone who thinks that anyone associated with the government KNEW EXACTLY what was going to happen, and did nothing, then you are nuts.
Anyone who thinks it was an inside job, or that we did this to ourselves, should be hospitalizaed for mental treatment.
All of this conspiracy talk makes my blood boil, I had friends and colleagues under that rubble. And for someone to say that they were killed by anyone other than the muslim terrorists who did this, is an insult to everyone of them. I can't image being so whacked to think the way so of you do. Some hippy on the street wearing the 9/11 truth t-shirt took made the really bad mistake of trying to hand me literature took the full brunt of my anger on this subject last week, but I'm always willing to give out some more.
Please just stop talking. This has already been covered, and yet here you are trotting out the same pap. Don't you dare declare that people "don't know anyone who died." I know two people who died, including a firefighter who was a close friend of the family. Honest to gawd, the more I see you speak in tones of misguided, short-sighted rage, the more I wonder how you ever were granted a moderator's position.
Repeating that everyone who insists a cover-up is somehow "crazy" over and over and over again, while never stating why you think so, is not doing a thing for your argument whatsoever. It just makes you look more and more angry and irrational.
We can cover the curiousities one at a time, if you like. We can start with the $100,000 wired to Atta by the ISI, or the white-washed Kean Commission. But somehow, I doubt you have the capacity to form a thought-provoking essay as to why ANY of it is "bunk."
Instead, you'll just keep repeating the mantra: "You're all crazy! you're all crazy!!! <bacaw!!!>"...
