When spouses lay low, like the current First Lady, then they should be kept out of it. When they start talking like Mrs. Obama has shown signs of, and like Hillary did as First Lady, then they are part of the package and open game.

when you start in on Obama's wifey, McCain's becomes fair game. Why start this ugly practice? I think they should lay off those ladies.

Its Obama vs. McCain

lets get it on!

If she gets up in front of a camera and starts shooting her mouth off she's "fair game".

Does this prancing arrogant "Messiah" really believe he is any different than any other President, if Miss Michelle wants to dance she will have to pay the fiddler just as Nancy Reagan, Hillary, Eleanor Roosvelt, Laura Bush, Barbara Bush and all the other presidents wives did, the Democrats beat the living ***** out of Nancy Reagan.

Dear Prince Barack:
If you don't want Miss Michelle to take any heat, tell her to "keep her f-cking mouth shut".

I'm fine with Obama vs. McCain, I think the country will come to it's senses and realize that "blind change" is more scary than exciting.

However, again, any potential first lady who chooses to inject herself into the political arena more than, say, reading to kids in schools, deserves some scrutiny.

agreed....

How about a first lady debate?

On the blind change thingy.......not sure how much we knew about W before he stepped into the whitehouse. I think that projection of the nation's pulse is premature at best. If past elections say anything about our nation's attitude. Its been CHANGE.

Because a wife can be the closest advisor in some cases. If a wife shows herself to be a "2-1" wife then she should be considered. Clearly Hillary deserved more scrutiny before Bill was elected than Laura did.

I see your point....

I also think Mrs. Obama can fight back. After all she has a pretty solid background in Law, Administration, and in the University System. Its not like she is some kind of silver spooned trophy wife.

MIchelle Obama:
associate at the Chicago office of the law firm Sidley Austin.
Chicago city government as an Assistant to the Mayor and Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Development.
Executive Director for the Chicago office of Public Allies.
Associate Dean of Student Services at the University of Chicago. (Still holds that position)

Certainly a hard worker, with ambission....

Cindy McCain:
Founded the American Voluntary Medical Team (AVMT)

seems like a great cause, AMVT from what I can read. But it seems like she isn't really a person who has worked for anything. Maybe she would make the better charity kind of 1st lady...

Its easy to see from each's background why one is more outspoken.
