I get 27 MPG on the highway. 22 in the city is good too. Instead of pandering to shock language like "SUV" let's see Obama propose a $2 a gallon gas tax. It'll hurt someone with an 80s or 90s car a lot more than my SUV because they'll get worse mileage unless it's a tiny car. But that wouldn't hit the class warfare that he's looking for.

Prince Barack Hussein Obama had better be very careful when he starts telling Americans who work two or three jobs and shell out most of it on Taxes (he wants higher taxes) how they should spend that money, as is said in another post "if I work and if I can afford to drive a hummer, eat lobsters for breakfast and heat my home as I see fit I will damn well do it, WE HAVE BEEN FREE TO LONG TO HAVE THIS PADDLE EARED LONG LEGGED COMMUNIST DICTATOR "MOTHER F-CKER" come along and try to drag us down to the living standards of a third world ***** hole like Cuiba.

If "COMRADE BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA" wants the Free American People to start living under his Dictatorship and if he wants to tell the Cab Drivers of America what kind of cars to drive and what they should feed their kids then this sweet talking son of a b!tch should start with his Spiritual Advisor, Uncle Jeremiah Wright who is building a Ten Million Dollar House on a Private Golf Course, will "Comrade Obama" tell Uncle Jereimiah what to have for supper.

Also, this "in your face" wife of his who has lived all her life being ashamed of America, "YOU WOULDN'T BE WHERE YOU ARE TODAY MICHELLE IF YOU DIDN'T LIVE IN AMERICA, YOUR A HEARTBEAT AWAY FROM BEING THE QUEEN OF THE COUNTRY YOU WERE ASHAMED OF ALL YOUR LIFE".

F-ck You Obama, this is America, you will never tell me how to keep my children warm you f-cking communist bastard.

Actually, it's a thread that took something he actually said that gave a little insight on how he would govern - remember, we know next to nothing about him. The quotes are the quotes :

Funny thing is, I bought my mother's '94 Mercury Grand Marquis from her when she was getting a new one. It's got 150 thousand miles, the big V8, police handling pack etc...and I was getting 20-22 with it. My neighbor has some little tuna can VW, and he was feeling sorry for me...so I mentioned my mileage to him, and it's exactly what he gets in his little tuna can 4 banger.

So yeah, why would BHO figure he'd jump on the "SUV" wagon? It's market correction. People are already dumping the big vehicles on their own.

If he wants to talk about gas guzzlers or whatever, fine. But, no, he has to continue his class warfare with "SUV". And talking about the "wealthy" only have health insurance even though he's provably wrong on that.

Comrade Barack Hussein Obama:
We haven't seen anything yet, if the starry eyed politically correct Obama Groupies put this socialist left wing bastard in the White House we will have another Civil War within the year.

These statements that Comrade Barack has just made about about FREE AMERICANS turning their heat down for him will haunt him all summer and could very well be his downfall, we know nothing about this creep or his wife and I hope Mccain and his gang will have the balls to go after him and turn the Obama/Michelle closet inside out.

That's progress I suppose.

It's sort of strange that the quote only seems to be on right-wing blogs, and I can't find the context in which it was said or what was replaced by the ellipses. Nonetheless, my guess is that he's saying we can't do whatever we damn please and expect the Saudis to increase oil production to meet our needs. Also, SUV is simply the modern term for gas guzzler, even though it can be imprecise.

OK, we have about 50M uninsured right now, google tells me. And about 12M illegals who most people don't want to get free healthcare. That leaves 38M uninsured who aren't illegal. We have about 300M people in the country. 25% are under 18 which leaves 225M. OK, 225M legal adults. 38M uninsured. So Obama say that 83% of Americans are "wealthy". (note, I subtracted all kids even though 10% are said to be uninsured which is part of the 38M so my numbers are actually skewed to hurt my argument by a little bit).
If you object to the use of hyperbole in political speeches, then you'll never find a candidate to vote for. Do you think that when McCain said being in Iraq for 100 more years would be "fine with him," we should not think about the bigger point he's trying to make? That's fine with me if you want to approach politics that way. How about this quote by McCain, ""I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated." Or this one, "I think I'd just commit suicide." --in October 2006, on the prospects of the Democrats taking back the Senate in the November election. Do you really want a suicidal president?

Maybe he needs to get his ***** together. However I think it's more evil than that, it's class warfare because only the "rich" have SUVs and he doesn't want Joe with a '91 Chevy to know Obama is coming after him too. More class warfare on the health insurance quote.

I agree on these points.

Problem is, Obama's not about to say the word "tax" from now until November. The Dem's will have to shake the perception that they are in favor of more taxes as opposed to the Republicans. Taxes are a buzz word in this election and will continue to be as long as the economy limps along. When (and if) he becomes president, Obama should impose a gas tax and give relief to truckers on deisel.

I can't believe how many Lexus Liberals I see on the Pike at the Newton tolls (they're easy to spot) driving alone. There's thousands of cars every day and they ALL HAVE ONE PASSENGER! Until people decide how serious they want to be regarding commuting and public transportation, they need to (Please be quiet - edited) about SUV's and hybrid cars.

I wonder whether this driving alone thing is a result of our need for personal time to be alone and think. Our lives are so complicated and our schedules have become so packed with crap and multiple layers of communication that maybe we need to commute alone in the car with the cell phone shut off and the music on. But then again , seems everyone,s on the cell while they're driving...I dunno.

Hey, leave Travolta alone. He doesn't drive an SUV. Atleast I don't see one in this picture of his home.

Do you?

John Travolta's home/airport.
